10/ New Ideas For Our New Contract Reality

So we don’t have a bank of sick days left. What if in the new system, instead of a carry-over you had the option to cash out unused sick days every year for money? There is private sector precedence. Whether we like it or not, this is now our contract starting point. What new ideas can people come up with? Just because we’ve been handed a new game doesn’t mean the rules can’t be used to our advantage. And vice versa, how can the board now come down on us? Input from everyone is more important than ever because everything is new, everything is different and nothing can sound as crazy as what we just went through.
